ROAR Academy operates as a school-within-a-school.
Students remain part of their Christian school community while receiving additional support through ROAR utilizing their IEP. This allows students to stay connected to the rhythms and relationships that matter most.
Students continue to participate in:
Support is integrated into the school experience—not separate from it.
There is no single ROAR experience.
Each student’s schedule and support are shaped around their needs, strengths, and school context. Some days may include more structured support; others look much like a traditional school day.
Students experience:
ROAR Academy is built on partnership.
We believe students thrive best when families, schools, and support teams work together, not in isolation. That’s why communication, collaboration, and mutual respect are central to how ROAR operates.
Learn whether ROAR may be a good fit for your family—without commitment.
When you’ve been navigating educational decisions for a long time, even taking a first step can feel heavy. This is not an application and not a decision.
An initial conversation with us is simply a way to ask questions, share context, and gain understanding. Together, we’ll explore whether ROAR could be a helpful next step for your family—without pressure or expectations.
Our hope is that together we find clarity and peace as we discern what’s next for your child.
Families begin by submitting a brief intake form. This is not an application and not a commitment. It helps us understand your child’s experience and where questions or support may be needed.
Families may choose to share supporting documents, such as an IEP, evaluation, or learning plan, to help us better understand the full picture.
We take time to talk through your child’s strengths, needs, and current school experience. Our goal is understanding and discernment.
This step may include reviewing relevant records, conversations with families, and, when appropriate, dialogue with the school.
When there is potential alignment, families are invited to visit the school.
The visit allows families to see the learning environment, ask questions, and experience the community firsthand. It also helps us understand the context in which support would take place.
Following the visit, we have a deeper conversation to talk through fit and next steps.
If ROAR appears to be a good mutual fit, families are invited to submit a formal application.
The application includes additional information, recommendations, and official records. This step is intentional and unhurried, focused on discernment rather than speed.
Applications are reviewed thoughtfully and holistically. Families receive a personal phone call with the decision, followed by a written summary and next steps.
For accepted students, we partner with the family and school to create a personalized plan of support—one that prioritizes belonging, growth, and opportunity within Christian community.
For many families, this season has been heavy. You’re not alone in trying to sort through options and next steps.
Before any application or commitment, we take time to understand each student and family. An initial conversation allows both you and us to determine whether it makes sense to continue exploring ROAR.
This step exists for clarity and alignment, not evaluation.
